And Simon answered, “Pray for me to the Lord, that nothing of what you have said may come upon me.” Acts 8:24

Hearing a word of reproof, Simon pleaded “pray for me.”. This surely is the humility God’s people should pursue. All sin as Simon did. We desire that which is not ours. Our focus shifts from the glorious to the transient. We think of self promotion rather than self devotion.
“Pray for me” we say. The kind Christian friend hears and as God’s servant he intervenes (Galatians 6:1). Prayer is the key which opens the Father’s gate.
Those who have been born again into the Shepherd’s fold (John 3:3-5; Titus 3:5-11; Galatians 3:26-27), turn homeward bound. He will hear. He will accept. He will forgive. He is waiting and listening for your return.
